the big question, how much time could you spend in traffic if you like most of us? that answer would be way too much. here is a shot of his 80 in emeryville. a study confirms it gets really bad. researchers at texas a&m found u.s. commuters spend a total of 121 billion dollars of wasted time and gasoline sitting in traffic, last year alone. that is $800 for each of us on the road, so commuters are building big delays into their schedules by allowing for an hour drive time for a trip that could take us 20 minutes without traffic. worse commutes in the country: washington, dc. los angeles. san francisco. and new york city. when we break it down that is a delay each day of 53 minutes for washington, dc, 48 minutes for los angeles, and 47 minutes for the san francisco-oakland area. the study could be food for thought or fuel for thought for transportation officials who are trying to ease congestion and keep traffic flowing through the bay area and all of the country. >> cornell, thank you very much. oakland police are looking into a devastating crash caught on camera, t
